WHAT I WORE: The Land Beyond The Front Door

Today I awoke with a jolt of inspiration . I have neglected blogging for sometime but it's a new year and a new beginning for all gypsy souls. This year was the start of university life for both myself and Chelsea but we have made a commitment to blog at least once every week so bear with us on our new journey. We hope our blog fuels your creative juices and ignites your spirit as you follow us on all our adventures.

All clothing thrifted.

LATEST OBSESSION: Botanical Illustrations

Ok, I admit... Yes, as a young woman I should love clothes, shoes, makeup and not to mention boys! But for the past year I have been completely and utterly infatuated with flowers. Yes, that's right, flowers. Anything from drawings to real life ones. It seems to have taken over my life. I dream of frolicking in a paddock full of daisies. Sauntering through tulips in the warm evening sun. Basking freely in a field of sunflowers. And waking up in rose petals, as I turn over to greet the love of my life good morning.
(If only!!)

Well, i am now about to make my dreams a reality! As of 12 o'clock on the 22nd March... I will be getting a tattoo as part of my 18th Birthday present. It symbolizes the love I have for flowers and my favourite of all time, Daisies. It will also stand for "Growth and Time" - Something to do with my family, as we are not in the happiest of times right now. And each flower will represent a member of my family - Mother, Father and Brother.

Will post pictures to Gypsy Rose and Instagram on Saturday, but in the mean time... here are some pictures to keep you guessing on what it might look like.

Inspiration: Haim

Personally, my favourtie band right now! The trio band of three sisters who grew up in California's San Fernando Valley, made their debut into the music indusrty in 2005 known as the "Valli Girls" but... that didn't go down so well. Then in 2006, the girls now growing up, decided to form their own band now known as "Haim". But it wasn't until 2012 when the band made a breakthrough into the music industry! The three sisters - Este, Danielle and Alana - are individual and unique when it comes to their music style. With inspirational sounds from Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, they defiantly have their own style and sound of music. As if it was created at a lakeside retreat.

Whether its for unwinding, catching up with friends, creating flower crowns or sharing a glass of wine with your bestie. This is the perfect beat and sound to do that to! Check them out! I have high hopes for these three in the future...

Inspiration: Wild Belle

Brother-and-sister duo Wild Belle make folk-, dance-, reggae-, and psychedelic rock-tinged indie pop. The duo, Chicago-area natives Elliot and Natalie Bergman, grew up playing music, with Elliot eventually studying jazz saxophone at the University of Michigan. The siblings first started playing together around 2006. Their dress style is electric and a bit folky much like their music. Check them out below!
